My body has always responded very well to the Cellucor C4 supplements, and never have experienced any real side effects that would make me feel sick.
Surprisingly, the C4 Ripped Sports pre-workout is one of the top pre-workouts I’ve taken in a very long time. It gives the instant boost of energy and long lasting without causing any crashes.
One of the worse feelings you can get from taking some of these pre-workouts is nausea or an upset stomach. The Cellucor pre-workouts have done a great job of formulating the C4 line.
It is interesting that the C4 Ripped Sports pre-workout has less caffeine than the other C4 supplements. I’m talking Original C4 is 200 mg for the original verses 150 mg for C4 Ripped Sports at 135 mg.
The nice thing about the ripped versions of the C4s is that it contains 3.9 grams of ripped sports performance blend.
Energy Levels – 5/5
The C4 Ripped Sports pre-workout is one of the smoothest pre-work drinks I’ve taken. You can start feeling the energy boost within 15 minutes and it’s pretty long lasting. With other pre-workouts such as the Shatter SX-7 Revolution, I have found similar energy boost with shorter span of 30 to 45 minutes before it starts to wear off. With the C4 Ripped Sports pre-workout, I am still going strong past an hour.
Again, every body will respond to each supplement differently.
Performance – 5/5
The C4 Ripped Sports pre-workout with the extra ripped formula, l-carnitine l-tartrate and green coffee bean gives you that blend to help burn fat. Also, minus creatine which the C4 products usually contains help avoid being bloated.
As covered in the “Energy levels” review, the C4 Ripped Sports pre-workout definitely allows you to push harder and stay more mentally focused.
There were a few days which I did not get the proper rest of 5-6 hours, waking up feeling sluggish, but after a full scoop of C4 Ripped Sports pre-workout, I was ready to hit the weights within 30 minutes. I would not advise this as a supplement to sleep less. Sleep is a very crucial part of your health.
Tastes – 4/5
I have tried the new Artic Snow Cone flavor, and it was not bad. Probably not the best flavor I’ve had. To be safe, you can’t go wrong with Fruit Punch. Either way, it’s just like the other powder form pre-workouts, nothing out of the norm. Didn’t taste chalky or like it had any chemicals. One positive is that it dissolves very well with water leaving little behind once you mix it up well.
The C4 Ripped Sports pre-workout has definitely exceeded my expectations. For the price being less than $30, I think it’s worth a try to see how your body responds. I know I have read other reviews and some are not a fan while others like myself think it’s a very solid product. Just like any other supplement, it’s all about trial-and-error. I am just about done the first 30 servings and may decide to cycle it again since it worked so well for me.
For about $25-30 for 30 servings, or $0.83 to $1.00 per serving. Most pre-workouts are between $25 and $30 per 30 servings so C4 Ripped is competitive along with the unusual fat loss blend.
