Hover-1 hoverboard Review. It’s a great starter hoverboard for just about anyone!
The Hover-1 hover boards are great, there are quite a few models to choose from. In this Hover-1 hoverboard Review, we’ll take a closer look at the Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Hoverboard Scooter.
Note: At the time of this article (June 2020), Hover-1 released its latest model, which is 2.0. If you’re shopping around, keep this in mind.
Hover-1 Hoverboard Review
The Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Electric Hoverboard is a great gift for anyone who enjoys such kind. Just like any transportation vehicle, safety is a major concern. With the Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Electric Hoverboard, it is able to transport a rider up to 220 lbs conveniently. The Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Hoverboard is not the fastest, making it a great intro for beginners and young children.

Cool Features
One of the eye catching thing about the Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Electric Hoverboard are the LED Lights, Bluetooth Speaker and modern aesthetic design! When the rider is moving, the lights will blink and change colors. Even the sound from the Bluetooth speaker is great. Though, we did noticed that the Bluetooth signal will start to fade after 30 feet. So make sure you keep your music Bluetooth device near by. One other thing to note, is the sound isn’t that loud. This is likely more of a safety feature, so the rider can focus more on their surroundings and where they are going.
With 6.5 inch wheels, it can allow travel up to 6.07 miles at a maximum speed of 6.21 miles per hour. The smaller wheels is made for flat terrains, and not rough terrains or steep inclines. Although, any hills up to 10 degree inclines will be within suitable range.
One minor annoyance, was the tires gave off a really strong rubber odor. It took about a week before the smell started to fade. Therefore, its best to keep the Hoverboard in a well ventilated area before bringing it inside the home for long term storage.

When shopping around, there are always plenty of options available. It’s best to understand what each product is best suited for. The Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Electric Hoverboard would be perfect for anyone looking for a quality hoverboard and is starting to learn how to use one. An advance rider would likely seek a hoverboard model with higher speed capabilities and can go longer distance.
The Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 hoverboard was within a decent budget range and included a lot of main features which other higher priced hoverboards had.
We gifted this to a six year old, who within a week, with proper supervision, was comfortable to ride independently. The Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Electric Hoverboard has a lower rated speed compared to the rest of the other Hover-1 models. It’s also the lightest, weighing at 19.29 pounds but offers Bluetooth capabilities and 6.5″ wheels that allow for flat-terrain only.
Overall, for the purpose and price range, the Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Electric Hoverboard was a decent purchase and receives a solid TGR score of 4.0 out of 5.0.
