HVAC Noise Gone! You can save a few hundred dollars with these 3 fixes!

If your HVAC unit is acting up and making a lot of noise, then there are a few things you can do by yourself to resolve the issue.
First, you will need the following:
- Make sure you have a ratchet wrench
- An extra person just to make the job easier
- Flashlight such as Ontel Handy Brite (as shown in the video)
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU SHUT OFF ALL THE POWER AND BE EXTRA CAREFUL SINCE THERE ARE SHARP EDGES IN THE HVAC UNIT!
Things that can help your project...
Removing the cover and locating the problem area

Step 1: Notice the Squirrel cage in the bottom of the HVAC unit.

Step 2: Spin the squirrel cage, and if you hear the noise then you are in the right direction. Keep on reading!
Fix #1: Align the Squirrel Cage & Tighten the Bolt

Step 1: Remove Squirrel Cage

Step 2: Check to see if the bolt is loose, and if it is, remove it.

Step 3: Once the bolt is removed, pull the squirrel cage towards you and re-tighten the bolt. Then put the squirrel cage back and start the HVAC back up to confirm the noise is gone.
Fix #2: Make sure the bolts are tight around the squirrel cage

Step 1: Remove the Squirrel Cage

Step 2: Make sure all of the bolts around the Squirrel cage are tighten. Then put the squirrel cage back and start the HVAC back up to confirm the noise is gone.
Fix #3: Re-align the Squirrel Cage

Step 1: Remove the Squirrel Cage

Step 2: Remove the screws and realign the squirrel cage entirely. You can leave one screw in place to make the job easier.
Then put the squirrel cage back and start the HVAC back up to confirm the noise is gone.
